The Nations and our Climate

In the book the climate casino on page nine William Nordhaus says that nations must change their policies to raise prices on fossil fuels, and that we as a people are reluctant to accept low carbon emission technologies. He goes on to say that the actions that need to be taken need to be global. I agree with nordhaus that any actions that are taken to reduce or eliminate greenhouse gases and repair the atmosphere must be done on a global scale. However I disagree with the writer that we as a species are reluctant to accept new technologies. one example are electric cars; yes there where a few people who were skeptical but not reluctant to accept it. Technology is being integrated into our lives everyday from our thermostats to cars and this will be the solution. Weather we abandon our planet and go into space exploration in search of new worlds or terraform our planet into the ideal habitat Nordhaus is right with the fact that technology will save us or may lead us to our destruction. Only time will tell what the future will hold.
